tv camera : Olympus E-500 ISO 400 f/3.5 1/400 sec I take my son to the beach later in the late good afternoon on Labor daytime . I had brought along my television camera in hopes of getting something for the competition . I did n’t get much that I liked but terminate up taking a clustering of pictures of my son . After a while he wanted to get his ft wet so proceed stand up on the shore and let the waves rush over our feet . I wanted to get a picture of our bare feet with the waves lick them . I take dozens of shot hear to time it just right all the while keep him from resolve to sit down in the water and hoping to get everything in focus . As I looked through them last nighttime I really like this snap , particularly the way my hand steady him is in focus . My son has Down Syndrome so my married woman and I spend a lot of time encouraging him to push himself but also bestow him a small support . Since it has a tattoo in it I calculate what the hell . I hope everyone had a good Labor Day .

I ’m a long time follower of Gizmodo and love these exposure contest and their entries and when I saw this weeks theme , I knew the exact individual to inquire . Recently , a good friend of mines just got her tattoo and has been eager to take some photos . At first , when I ask if she was going to colour it soon , she said 2 few week and that was too late . I was n’t going to put forward , but then realize that it would be squeamish in b / w too . I ’ve try depressed - paint picture taking once before and thought it would be interesting to try again . It was a nice to get out and shoot again , especially for a Gizmodo pic contest and my Quaker . Ganesha In dark glasses
Ganesha in front of Buddha Once I saw this challenge I cognize what I want to do . My beneficial friend there Javier Comas has a cool tattoo of Ganesha . The colour of the Ganesha prompt me of this Buddha I had seen in the street art / graffiti section of Wynwood ( midtown Miami ) . I thought it would be nerveless to include the different deities with interchangeable food coloring . I ’ll be going out of town this weekend so I had to rush & call for my friend here to meet me at the site so I could photograph then submit the accounting entry . Taken of my self , by myself , in front of an abandon Best Buy . Metal wing were done over 2 twelvemonth ago and took 27 hours . Taken with my Canon T2i using my IR remote control on some tripod i discover that looked like it was 100 years old .

Iso 800 , f/2.0 , 1/100s He ’s my best friend and his tattoo , wich he made a few years ago after injuring himself due to a momentanoeus red of ascendancy . So he determine to cut up on his body a perpetual reminder to never do it again . It was punishing to convince him to take some photos , he detest them , and likely he will play it up until i buy the farm . But i suppose i was able to capture his resolution , his perseveration that he puts in everything he does , and that repays me of every effort .

Phoenix rise up
After seeing this challenge I forthwith hollo up my most tattooed friend and convinced her to be my model for this shoot . We had a great time drinking and coming up with interesting ways to show off her heroic phoenix . I used my Nikon D5100 with a 55 - 300 millimetre electron lens to get a good clouded background and we took off outdoors for a fun natural light source photo shoot . In the end this guess was our best-loved so I enhanced the color a piddling bit in military post to make the colors really pop and added a sketch . The phoenix was done by Jack from Fate Tattoo in Ohio .

I told my friend about the shooting challenge while we were out boat this weekend . He has a colorful and interesting tattoo that I wanted to grab a depiction of for it . I consider the light rays shining through the cloud and his airs are meet for the imagery of the tattoo . Shot with a Sony NEX-5R and kit 18 - 55 mm , ISO100 , f/7 . I did some exposure and colour adjustments in Lightroom .
