It ’s a bit pointless , because sure as shooting your television can recognize if there ’s a 3D Blu - ray of light in the player , or the telly show you ’ve selected is being broadcast in 3D , but Italian ship’s company Sisvel ’s machine synchronise glasses to the boob tube .
It will observe if participating or peaceful glass are being used , with Sisvel ’s Dario Pennisi explain their technology is “ similar to the one used on the Wii remote control , ” and will be licensed to television set producer one day :
“ For fighting glasses , given the already high cost of the glasses and [ that ] these already hold in a battery and some electronics , our solution comprises a capacitive sensor that ‘ feel ’ the head of the viewer and employ this information to commit infrared commands to the television , hence the extra toll of this solution if essentially zero .
“ For peaceful glasses , the TVs have to be equipped with a camera that looks at the viewers and has some exceptional electronics to pick out if they are wearing glasses and can speciate between ordinary glasses and polarise glass for stereoscopic wake . ”
It ’s an unknown company with a sublime destination , to get their engineering used by big3D TVmanufacturers . But I ca n’t get past the fact that it should n’t be necessary to include another footprint in the process when switch on the TV and sliding on the glasses . [ SisvelviaGizmag ]
