In April of 2023,a cause of deathwas revealed publicly for the pop star.According to the Los Angeles Country Medical Examiner-Coroner, the 34-year-old drowned after inhaling (“huffing”) difluoroethane and taking alprazolam. Difluoroethane is a gas often used in cans of compressed air, while alprazolam is the generic form of brand-name Xanax.
