TheFear Streetactress, 30, and her actor husband, 31, gathered with over 200 of their closest friends and family at the famousCasa Lomain Toronto to tie the knot last Sunday. The couple, whogot engaged in February 2020, tells PEOPLE the castle-style mansion was the perfect fit for their “ethereal royalty” theme.
“It was a dream come true. A fairytale,” Madeira says. “It was everything we prayed for, and more,” Adams-Gray adds.

The weekend kicked off with a rehearsal lunch, which Madeira says they kept casual with catered BBQ and a “backyard picnic” for the 26-member wedding party — a number the couple tells PEOPLE is “the largest Casa Loma had ever seen.”
At the ceremony, Madeira’s bridesmaids and bridesman were decked out in all-purple attire they chose for themselves, while Adams-Gray’s groomsmen wore all black. The couple say their favorite color is purple, but the hue holds an even deeper meaning to them as Madeira’s engagement ring has “a purple amethyst hidden within the inside of the band.”
“This dress was the number one on my list from the very beginning when I saw it online and trying it on at Liza Ray in N.Y.C. just solidified my love for it,” she says. “I truly wouldn’t change a thing about it.”

“To me, marriage makes our relationship and our love official under God,” Adams-Gray says. “Not because of the signing of the legal papers, but because of the ceremony and having our pastor speak over us, in front of our family and friends.”

“We wanted it to feel like it’s difficult to pinpoint the exact era that we’re in — a sense of timelessness was fun for us to play with,” the two explain.
While sipping on “His and Hers” cocktails (a paloma and an old-fashioned), the newlyweds changed into their reception outfits.
Once everyone settled into the tented reception area, where purple delphinium dropped down from the ceiling in an extravagant floral display, a seated dinner began andDJ Spexgot the party started.

“When the salads were barely even finished, the dance floor was packed,” Madeira says.
Most of the night was spent on the dance floor (“We danced all night long!”), with Madeira’s brother Nikane free-styling two songs as their parents sang along with him toward the end of the night.
“[It] was a special moment that will be remembered forever,” the couple tells PEOPLE.

The Canada natives are now honeymooning in Portugal before returning home, where their “adventure” as husband and wife includes plans to build a home and eventually start a family together — and hopefully “write and produce a film of our own.”
“I love the way we laugh together. It makes me feel like we can overcome any of life’s challenges,” Madeira gushes. “And I love that we have Jesus as the anchor to our relationship. Our faith in God provides a strength that is divine and unmatched.”
