Although that concoction , formally named Polystarch , is not useable in the Black Spire Outpost ( otherwise known asStar Wars Galaxy ’s Edge ) , a new cookbook has the recipe — and io9 has the exclusive reveal .
Polystarch Portion Bread is just one of over 70 recipes inStar warfare : Galaxy ’s Edge : The prescribed Black Spire Outpost Cookbook , by Chelsea Monroe - Cassel and Marc Sumerak . It ’s out this fall , and is told through the vox of Strono Tuggs , the former cook in Maz Kanata ’s castle on Takodana . Of course , in The Force Awakens Maz ’s castling got drift up by the First Order , so Strono ’s since taken his talents to Batuu . Here ’s his recipe for Rey ’s moolah , a.k.a Polystarch Portion Bread .

While you ca n’t order Rey ’s bread at Star Wars Galaxy ’s Edge ( which is presently open atDisneyland and open up August 29 at Walt Disney World ) , you’re able to get a Ronto Wrap , which is delicious . So we ’re alone debut that recipe for that one from the book of account , too !
The Ronto Wrap ( served fresh off of a spread out , re - purposed pod racing car locomotive on Batuu ) is such a fully grown part of Galaxy ’s Edge in fact , it just so happens to be on the screen of the Holy Writ — which you may see below , along with a few other recipes .
While these things are all extremely cool , it ’s still crazy to me that “ Polystarch Portion Bread ” is n’t a thing that ’s in reality useable in Galaxy ’s Edge . My wild guess is that when trying to really make it one of two things fall out , but not both : either you number up with something that expand really cock-a-hoop and looks cool on screen , or … you make something that ’s actually sound to eat .

I assume Disney could n’t find that proportion , and that ’s why it ’s not in the car park — and even then , this book leans more into the “ dear to use up ” column , because the recipe actually admits it only comes “ jolly close ” to replicating what we see in the movie .
