In 1971 , the National Institute of Mental Health eject a short film that was intended to dissuade small fry from trying drugs . But if there was ever an anti - drug movie that made kids desire to try drug , this is it .
Titled “ Curious Alice , ” the flick was a take - off on the Lewis Carroll chronicle of Alice in Wonderland and the 1951 Disney film , of course . Viewers watch over a untried miss who starts tripping balls and proclaim , “ It ’s uncanny ! Everything ’s different ! Even me ! ” punctuated with wad of exclamations like “ wow ! ”
Curious Alice talks to all kinds of timberland creatures and plants , few of which notice her universe , causing her to have an existential crisis about whether she ’s “ really here . ” She ’s super duper high and is n’t quite sure who she is . Her misstep set out to really turn gloomy , but there does n’t appear to be anything really threatening Curious Alice because she continues to prompt herself that nothing she ’s experiencing is real .

So , yeah , overall Curious Alice sound like she ’s had a middling undecomposed time . Aside from that part where she maybe possibly got addicted to diacetylmorphine and walk into a room full of junkies ( which , bear in mind you , are still depicted as fanciful characters ) . So do n’t do drugs kidskin . Or else you ’ll wind up like Curious Alice and have batch of fun and meet all kinds of nerveless characters and feel really good .
