Today we ’ve got a Lynxmotionmanipulator armthat ’s been like an expert modded to be control by a USB mouse . [ Insert image of those little green aliens from Toy Story here , gazing up in worship . ]
The video shows how perfectly the computer mouse operates this thing : sliding the mouse check its move in all guidance , the scroll wheel raises and lowersthe clawup and down , and clicking the leftover or correct push button close or rotates the claw . The arm picks up the figurine in the still apace and accurately .
The brain of this robotic arm is anArduino Duemilanove(if you ’ve never work out with Arduinos before , they are great microcontroller boards ; the Arduino Mega was an integral part of my aged pattern project in school ) , and the automaton arm itself is aLynxmotion AL5D , which is used to push six servomechanism .

Maybe I can make one of these in my menage like those hook at the arcade ( or in front of the grocery store storage these daytime ) , with an enclosure , some cheap prize , and a coin slot , and see if I can make a trivial money when friends come over . [ HackadayviaUbergizmo ]
