Carol and Negan sure did , but it turns out Alpha ’s severed chief casts a long fantasm even after Carol ( Melissa McBride ) sticks the Whisperer ’s dome on a stake , the exact same fate Carol ’s adopted sonHenry met at Alpha ’s hands . Carol stares at it , having thought all this time it would ultimately bring her peace , but it ’s clean she does n’t feel better in the slight . In fact , all she can do is berate Negan ( Jeffrey Dean Morgan ) for taking so long to finish the caper she ’d on the QT broken him out of Alexandria ’s poky to do . Then , when he take her to hold up her end of the steal and return with him to Alexandria to open word of his heroic meter , she leaves him high and juiceless to have some time with her thought process .
Her thoughts take the form of Alpha , who mock and insults her for the bulk of the episode . His name was Half Moon , and he ’s not half - big if I do say so myself . However , the elbow room is small and unmistakable , the bottom is a cot for one . Meanwhile , Alpha has nothing to do with Eugene , Yumiko , and Ezekiel , who set out to Charleston , West Virginia to gather with the mysterious Stephanie . Instead , they regain zombies who have been primp up like characters from a Tim Burton movie and tied in place to make screaming scenes . Then a female child with a purple boa , purple hair , and an assault rifle fit out of nowhere and exclaims , in utter delight : “ Oh my god ! Hi ! ” This is obviously not Stephanie , but she is absolutely the bully absurdness to happen to The walk Dead sinceRick was airliftedoff the show .
This quality — this whole fit — transforms “ Look at the Flowers ” from alright to great . While there are two more episodes in season 10 , we ’re only getting one more since a certain non - zombie pandemic hasdelayed the finaleuntil later in the year . If we do n’t get to learn everything about her next workweek I will be exceedingly disappointed . If onlythe Garbage Peoplewere still around to see what ’s she ’s been doing . Hey , Jadis ? cue to Beta ’s melodious past admit but are not limited to : Alpha recognizing him when she first met him then taunting him with a Sung dynasty ; a Whisperer recognizing him after Gamma contract part of his masque ( and getting vote down to keep Beta ’s personal identity secret ) ; and a mess of vinyl record with a dude who looked precisely like actor Ryan Hurst on the concealment pop up on Fear the Walking Dead last September .
I know the Whisperers are fiend , but the fact that dude stayed with Beta after Beta forced his font into Alpha ’s zombi back talk was super banana .
Ezekiel and Jerry have an extremely tearful goodby which is so out of the bluing that it is almost a sure thing they shall never see each other again . Since Ezekiel ’s the one who spend the sequence coughing up parentage , I suspect we fuck how this will play out .
