On Friday, the actress, 51, posted an Instagram photo with Falchuk, 52, to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary.
“❤️5❤️” she captioned the photo of the two of them, arms locked, looking off camera.
Paltrow and Falchuk first met in 2010, during Paltrow’s guest appearance as substitute teacher Holly Holliday on the hit musical comedy seriesGlee. At the time, she was married to her ex-husband,ColdplayfrontmanChris Martin, and theGleeco-creator was married to producerSuzanne Bukinik.
After splitting from their respective spouses, the couple quietly began dating in August 2014, going public withtheir romancein April 2015 at Paltrow’s pal and co-starRobert Downey Jr.’s 50th birthday party.

The pair secretlygot engagedin 2017 beforemarryingon Sept. 29, 2018 in an intimateweddingat Paltrow’s East Hamptons home in New York.

Ahead of their nuptials, the star dished aboutwedding planning, telling PEOPLE in 2018, “I’m excited about everything! I’ve never had a wedding before.” Paltrow and ex-husband Martineloped in 2003. “So even though I’m 45, I sort of feel like a 21-year-old,” she said.
At the time, they hadn’t “really started making any formal plans.” Paltrow shared, “It’s kind of fun to talk about with my girlfriends. They send me pictures of dresses — they’re as excited about it as I am. It’s pretty cute.”
In 2019, Paltrow shared a selfie of the duoon Instagramto celebrate one year of marriage, “Year one, done,” she captioned the post.
The following year she shared another selfie of her and Falchuk standing in front of a body of water. “Year two, through 💙 💙,” she wrote under the picture.
That same year Paltrow and Falchuk took aromantic getawayto The Point, Upper Saranac Lake, a lake about 5 hours north of New York City, to celebrate their anniversary.
