Compared to many TV streaming services , Hulu is a mature engineering , created five years ago by some of TV ’s biggest players . Now , theNew York Times suggestsit ’s coming of historic period — and that consequence this hebdomad will see it unfeignedly become a web TV challenger .
The Times reportsthat , this Thursday , Hulu will cant advertisers on its new , original programing . That might not sound like a prominent deal , but it is in fact an annual ritual called “ upfronts”—usually reserved for transmission line channels and internet broadcasters .
So , Hulu ’s first small-arm of original programming , Battleground , wasn’t heavy . And , sure , the house has to put up with its parental companies feuding most of the time . But that does n’t seem to count too much when Hulu is pitching at the same meeting as the biggest national TV providers . [ New York Times ]
