Michael Strahan’s daughterIsabella Strahanis sharing a behind-the-scenes look at the day she went public with her brain tumor diagnosis.
On Thursday, the 19-year-old student andmodelposted the fourth installment of herYouTube series, where she’s been sharing her health journey after having emergency surgery last October to remove a large medulloblastoma —a type of malignant tumor— in her cerebellum.
In the vlog, Isabella documented the day she had her sit-down interview onGood Morning Americato go public with her diagnosis.
“We’re on the way toGMA. I’m doing an interview with [GMAco-anchor]Robin Robertsabout what’s been going on… what I’ve been going through for the past two months,” she said. “I’m excited. I guess there’s nothing to be nervous about … ehh there’s little things to be worried about. But it is what it is and I will hopefully do good and it will be good.”
Isabella said it had been years since she was on theGood Morning Americaset in Times Square. While she was getting ready in the dressing room, she got a visit from her dad who gave her a quick back massage and helped her with her earrings.
“I’m ready to go!” she said proudly after finishing her makeup. “It’s so weird, no one’s ever seen me bald.”

“Oh look, I could be that. This is me!” she said with a smile.
In the clip, Isabella also shared a few photos from her interview with her dad and Roberts, who is acancer survivor.
The GMA segment aired last week and the college student spoke about learning about her brain tumor in late October 2023, and undergoing emergency surgery at Cedars-Sinai to remove the mass on Oct. 27, a day before her 19th birthday.
“I’m feeling good. Not too bad,” said Isabella, who will start chemotherapy at Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center in Durham, North Carolina, next month. “That’s my next step. I’m ready for it to start and be one day closer to being over. …. I’m very excited for this whole process to wrap. But you just have to keep living every day, I think, through the whole thing.”

“I literally think that, in a lot of ways, I’m the luckiest man in the world, because I’ve got an amazing daughter,” Michael, 52, added. “I know she’s going through it, but I know that we’re never given more than we can handle and that she is going to crush this.”
“It’s been like, two months of keeping it quiet, which is definitely difficult. I don’t wanna hide it anymore ‘cause it’s hard to always keep in,” Isabella said on the show.“I hope to just kind of be a voice, and be [someone] who maybe [those who] are going through chemotherapy or radiation can look at.”
