Rebel Wilsonis ready to tell the stories behind some of her most famous moments.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about my book,Rebel Rising, because I’ve been recording the audiobook for it,” she said.
The memoir, which is due out on April 2, will feature stories that her fans “might find interesting,” she said as she teased one topic in particular that the book will expand on.
Her “Pitch Perfectstories” will be a highlight of the memoir, as Wilson said she’ll share the story behind her character Fat Amy’s infamous scene inPitch Perfect 2where she accidentally bares it all — literally — to a crowd that includesBarackandMichelle Obama.
In the hilarious opening scene of the 2015 film, Fat Amy descends onto the stage in an impressive aerial maneuver as she singsMiley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball.” The skin-tight full-body leotard she’s wearing eventually splits open, prompting a series of chaotic scenes — and a deadpan shot of the supposed audience members, including the Obamas.
InRebel Rising, Wilson said she’ll explain “how the hell that happened,” referring to the infamous scene. “Fun times like that,” she noted.

“Talking about weight and body image and how you feel about yourself — that was kind of really important for me to discuss in depth in the book,” she continued of the contents ofRebel Rising. “And sexuality and things like fertility issues and a lot of stuff from when I was younger as well, like being super shy, and then also what it was like going into the entertainment industry and dealing with rejection and feeling like you may not be good enough.”

In October, theSenior Yearstar told PEOPLEshe’d “underestimated how much work it really is” to write a book about her own life.
Though she admitted the candid nature of the memoir can be “very embarrassing,” Wilson said she thought to herself, “If I’m doing it, I’m doing it full out.”
