Ronnie Ortiz-Magrowill be stepping away fromJersey Shoreas he focuses on his health and wellbeing.
“My number one goal now is facing my struggles head on,” he continued.
While he acknowledged that “this process will be difficult,” he said he’s focused on being the best dad he can be for 3-year-olddaughter, Ariana.
He added, “but my #1 priority is to get healthy and be the best man and the best father I can for my daughter.”

Ortiz-Magro was an original cast member onJersey Shorefrom 2009 to 2012 and currently stars on theFamily Vacationspinoff, which premiered in 2018.
The news of his step back from the show comes the same day his attorneys confirmed that he hadavoided criminal charges in his recent domestic violence case.
His attorneys also first revealed that Ortiz-Magro is “currently seeking medical treatment for psychological issues that he has ignored for a long time. His only present goal is to address these issues professionally and make himself a better person and the best father he can be to his loving daughter.”

In late April, an LAPD spokesperson confirmed to PEOPLE that Ortiz-Magro wasarrested after allegedly attacking a partnerin Los Angeles' Northridge area. He was then taken to a jail in Van Nuys and was released the same day on a $100,000 bail.
At the time of the alleged incident, Ortiz-Magro’s daughter was in his care. The child was later taken to her mother and Ortiz-Magro’s ex-girlfriend Jen Harley, who was not involved in the alleged situation.
Days after the arrest, Oritz-Magrospoke out via his Instagram Stories. The reality star said that he was “grateful for all of my real friends” amid his latest run-in with the law.
Currently, Ortiz-Magro is on probation afteragreeing to a plea deal to settle his domestic violence casewith Harley, 33, last year.
A spokesperson for the L.A. City Attorney told PEOPLE on Thursday that Ortiz-Magro has a probation violation hearing set for June 25.
