Scarlett Johanssonis joining fellow celebrities in supporting a good cause.

TheBlack Widowstar was on hand at The New York Public Library on Thursday to help celebrate The Albies,George and Amal Clooney’s second annual ceremony honoring defenders of justice.

On the event’s red carpet, Johansson, 38, wore a starkly black double-breasted suit. She finished the striking look with all-black accessories, silver earrings and slicked-back hair.

In their second annual iteration, The Albies presented five awards to activists and organizations from around the world for their work in medicine, law and journalism.

Congolese gynecologist and human rights advocate Dr. Denis Mukwege received The Albies’ Lifetime Achievement Award, while Iranian journalists Niloofar Hamedi and Elahe Mohammadi (who reported on thedeath of Mahsa Amini in Iran) were honored with the Justice for Women Award.

Ukrainian rights group Truth Hounds, free speech advocacy group the Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression, and Thailand’s organization Thai Lawyers for Human Rights also received special recognition.

The Foundation’s efforts include, per a press release, “providing free legal support to victims of human rights abuses… with a focus on protecting women, journalists, defenders of democracy and minorities.”
