Kotsur previously won in the same category for the same performance at the 2022SAG Awards, and at the BAFTA Awards, which occurred earlier on Sunday. He is alsoOscar-nominated for his role.
InCODA, Kotsur plays a deaf fisherman who, along with his wife (Marlee Matlin), rely on their hearing daughter to interpret for them. Hetold PEOPLE last monththat he considered Oscar winner Matlin, 56, a lone pioneer for deaf actors for years.
“Marlee has been my mentor,” he said. “She was alone for many years. I understand what Marlee went through and I’m more than happy to support her.
